As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a proven team of experts and compete in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.  You will be required to work on-site at our Brno facility Monday – Friday.

  How You'll Help Us Connect the World: The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the sourcing of important items, requiring extensive or niche knowledge and experience.

Working with the site Operations teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with site requirements you will develop both current and future sources of supply in support of the overall supply chain strategy.

  Contributes to establishing and developing supply chain strategies that are aligned with business requirements for key spending categories.

Sources complex direct materials (e.g., die castings, injection moldings, metal fabrications , cable assemblies , etc) from suppliers capable of meeting the service, quality, NPI and cost requirements.

Identifies categories for strategic sourcing agreements and conducts cost/price analyses for all products under their jurisdiction, with emphasis on high-dollar and sole-source situations.

Establishes negotiation strategies.

Work to identify opportunities for cost reductions in support of annual cost reduction objectives.

Ensures that all sourcing is based on negotiated competitive bids as submitted by qualified suppliers and in alignment with Should Cost targets (where available).

Maintains positive working relationships with the supplier base and owns the regularly scheduled Business Reviews with suppliers.

Continues to analyze and assess the adequacy of our supplier base for each category and develops additional sources of supply where deemed advantageous.

Some travel will be required with this role.

  Required Qualifications for Consideration: Eight or more years of procurement or sourcing experience in purchasing Experience in purchasing technical commodities such as metals, polymers, raw fiber, and extrusion.

Successfully demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills.

Proficient in cost/price analysis techniques.

Strong English language skills.

  You Will Excite Us If You Have: ERP Experience (SAP preferred).

Previous experience working in a global manufacturing organisation.
