What you will do Key Responsibilities: Accrual Management : • Accurately record and track financial accruals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. • Ensure all accruals are properly documented, justified, and posted in the accounting system. • Monitor and adjust accruals to reflect actual expenditures, ensuring accuracy in financial statements. Reconciliation & Reporting: • Perform periodic reconciliations of accrual accounts to ensure balances are correct. • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate accrual data. • Prepare detailed reports related to accruals for internal management and external audit purposes. Audit Support: • Serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external auditors regarding accruals. • Prepare supporting documentation and explain financial accrual processes during audits. • Ensure timely responses to auditor inquiries and assist in resolving any discrepancies. Compliance & Controls: • Conduct regular accrual training to the local organization • Ensure that all accrual processes adhere to company policies and regulatory standards. • Maintain and update financial accrual procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant accounting principles • Work with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls related to accruals and other financial processes. Continuous Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accruals and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Keep up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure the company's processes remain compliant and effective. What we are looking for • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 3 years of experience in financial accounting, with a focus on accruals. • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. • Experience with ERP systems SAP and advanced Excel skills. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with auditors and cross-functional teams. • Experience in audit processes and financial controls is highly desirable. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated ability to lead through influence and impact. • Fluency in English and Czech; proficiency in any other local language is advantageous.
