Your mission Wattstor is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team in Brno and play a pivotal role in the evolution of our ground-breaking products.  As a Product Owner for Trading, you will be at the forefront of developing our Podium energy management system, enhancing its capabilities to support trading in the wholesale power markets.

Your expertise in power trading and product management will be essential in creating automated solutions that empower our customers to maximize revenue while reducing their carbon footprint.

At the heart of Wattstor's offering is Price Protect, a next-generation electricity supply tariff that integrates grid electricity with onsite renewable generation and battery energy storage.

This innovative contract guarantees customers rates lower than the market, all while capping overall costs.  In this role, you will be the driving force that connects Wattstor’s pioneering commercial offerings with our advanced energy management software, Podium.

This seamless integration will enable our customers to optimize their onsite renewable energy systems and participate effectively in wholesale electricity markets.

As a Product Owner for Trading, you will be responsible for building Wattstor’s product on the following functional areas: Trading : trade execution to exchange venues and trade capture Optimisation: identify optimal way for Wattstor to trade across different markets Risk Management: trade valuation based on market prices (MTM, PNL, Exposure) Book structure: define Wattstor’s book structure based on customer contracts Settlement : settlement of contracts of the overall Wattstor portfolio Interfacing : Build the flows of communication between external and internal systems (Exchange to in house product) Market supporting activities: Margining, credit, registration as BSC, etc.

Responsibilities Own and implement Wattstor’s trade lifecycle, from optimisation to trade submission, capture, valuation and settlement.

Support in the definition of Wattstor’s real time management of its position in the wholesale markets Define the methodology for the complete portfolio evaluation – including wholesale trading & customer tariff Own the seamless integration with the accounting department for the customer’s billing Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements.

Work closely with the technology team to support the development of trading features Evaluate Wattstor’s performance in the trading markets Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Effectively communicate complex ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and test cases.

Your profile Desired skills: Previous experience in the electricity trading industry Knowledge of trade lifecycle – starting from trade capture all the way to settlement.

Familiarity with trading processes, regulations, and market dynamics is advantageous.

Work closely with external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of products and services.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Product Owner with a focus on Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
