Main responsibilities In your new role, you will set standards as a value creator for the entire supply chain in international strategic purchasing of passenger compartment components for rail vehicles / rolling stock.
To this end, you will conduct international supplier inquiries and bid evaluations, systematically prepare award decisions and successfully conclude them.
You develop globally coordinated material field strategies (increasingly under sustainability aspects), drive their implementation within Siemens Mobility based on active risk / supplier management."Play to win": in addition, you enjoy generating competitiveness for bidding and execution projects e.g.
via benchmarks, CVE cost value engineering, design-to-cost measures, bundling e-biddings and e-auctions.
You will independently lead negotiations e.g.
on price & delivery terms per project, master agreements, escalations, reclamation claims, successfully ensuring supply to plants and projects in project execution.
Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring the required data transparency according to specifications in the defined systems (e.g.
ERP/SAP, web-based applications).
Key qualifications You have a degree in engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or comparable (at least Bachelor).
You have many years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or in technical sales or project management functions in plant engineering, automotive engineering, or the automotive industry.
I addition, you have an affinity for technology and can read drawings and parts lists.
You are basically familiar with production processes in the metal and plastics processing industry and can therefore communicate at eye level with quality engineers (f/m/d) and design managers (f/m/d).
You are confident in using common MS Office applications, web-based applications, ERP systems/SAP and have an affinity for digitalization.
You have experience in dealing with different international business cultures, including Asia, and are accordingly willing to travel on business (approx.
20%). You are proficient in German and/or English and are willing to learn the German language.
